Concept

In psychology, the term ‘Stream of Consciousness’ refers to the flow of thoughts in the conscious mind. Philosopher and Psychologist William James coined the term 'Stream of Consciousness' as a means of explaining a form of narrative that attempts to express an individual’s point of view by portraying the written equivalent of the characters thought process from one to the next similar to a bond of thoughts.

Stream is a 2d Stereoscopic experimental film which explores the concept of 'unifying bonds'. The animation is depicted through a Stream of Consciousness  narrative characterized through figurative emotional responses that revolve around love and nature. These representations will be animated to a song that was composed for the short. Since the animation is stereoscopic the imagery will be composed over one another in layers of depth. Along with, colour, sound and movement, the incorporation of depth perception is the core aspect of the animation and its investigation into assembling mood and feeling.

This blog attempts to document the creative process as a stream of consciousness in itself, from idea to idea exploring the conceptual growth of the film.
